Eric Léveillé grew up near Montreal and trusted Christ as his Saviour at a young age. As a teenager, he surrendered to God’s call to ministry and later graduated with a Bachelor of Theology from FaithWay Baptist College of Canada in 2002. He served as assistant pastor and school administrator at FaithWay until 2011, then spent the next 13 years as a church planter in the Montreal area. In 2025, the Lord led Eric and his family back to FaithWay Baptist Church, where he began serving as senior pastor in February.
What Eric enjoys most about ministry is seeing people come to Christ and then grow in Him, learning to follow Jesus and make life decisions rooted in God’s wisdom. He loves people, enjoys praying with them, and finds great joy in preaching and teaching the Word of God.
Eric holds a master’s degree in education and continues to pursue graduate theological studies in his spare time.
His wife, Melissa, is an accomplished pianist and music teacher with undergraduate and graduate degrees in piano performance. They have two boys—one in high school and one in elementary school—who keep their home lively and full of laughter.
Eric’s life verse is Galatians 2:20:
“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”
A Montrealer at heart, Eric will never turn down a smoked meat sandwich or an authentic poutine—if it’s done right. He also enjoys hockey, travel, reading, urban exploring, and the great outdoors. And to this day, he has never turned down a cup of coffee in his life.
